Alhimdo lillah we have been blessed with this beautiful Deen of Islam and we have been given the light and guidance. May Allah سبحانه وتعالى guide us all to the straight path, Ameen.

Tabarruj, display of beauty is a very serious issue and a grave destructive sin. Haya, modesty is a branch of Iman. Why are sisters posting their pictures on the Internet? Even if a sister doesn’t believe that covering the face is fard, obligatory - it doesn’t mean that it’s okay to display the beauty of her face publicly on websites like Fitnabook, Twitter or MySpace. Then there are sisters wearing make up, striking a pose like a mannequin, pouting their lips… Is this befitting for a Muslimah? Hijab is not a fashion accessory and hijab is much more than just a piece of black polyester - hijab is also about behaving modestly and avoiding everything extravaganza, avoiding causing fitna and avoiding attracting attention.

What about these “Islamic” match maker websites? They are like the latest edition of the famous “mail order bride” catalogues from the 1990s! Do you think Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم would have allowed this? It’s a disgrace to Islam to call these websites “Islamic”, since when has an online catalogue with pictures of sisters have had something to do with the religion of Islam and the Islamic concept of marriage?

Islam emphasizes the importance of marriage and family life and Islam honors women. Just take a look at how cheaply women are treated outside of Islam! Let’s not fall into these Satan traps and let’s not imitate the kuffar and their way of life, because we have been given something much better - we have been given Nur al Islam, the light of Islam - guidance. We have been blessed with the Glorious Quran and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم. It is time for this ummah to wake up and realize that we have to strive to become better Muslims and we have to follow the Quran and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم and nothing else.

Persisting in sin is worse than the sin itself, because it indicates weakness of faith and disrespect towards Allah سبحانه وتعالى. Don’t we fear Allah? Why are we so careless about things that may be against to our religious commitment?

It is very clear that Satan is the one who established the call for Tabarruj and showing off and he is the leader of those leaders who call for the “liberation” of women. Shaytaan is the Imam of everyone who obeys him and follows him in disobedience to Allaah, Most Merciful, especially those Mutabar’rijat, those who do at-Tabarruj (display their beauty) who harm the Muslims and deceive their youth.

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
“I have not left after me any chance of turmoil more harmful to men than the harm done to them because of women.”
